Where do I start looking for speakers for my next upcoming event?

There are a lot of people out there with great content ready to rock your event. There are a couple of ways to find speakers:

  • Create a Google form with questions to qualify your speaker. If someone takes the time to fill out your form, they are more likely to actually show up at your event.
  • Go to social media first. Post your form on your social media. Dolores recommends LinkedIn, but you can do Facebook as well.
  • Look for speaking or speaker groups on Facebook to find groups that gather speakers. Make sure you have prequalifying information on your post and be specific.
  • Make them work for it! Everyone wants everything, but very few are willing to actually work for it.
  • You have the upper hand, so don’t compromise quality and be clear in your intention.
  • Speaker Hub has a database of speakers.
  • Create a running dream list of speakers. When you are looking for speakers reach out to them on LinkedIn. The answer is always no if you don’t ask.

JAY owen

I have always loved technology. From a young age, my hands were often found glued to a keyboard. My venture into the design and internet world started around age 12 when my parents bought their first family Mac – it was a Performa 575. I started designing and learning about this great new thing that was coming…. “The World Wide Web.” After working at a technology firm in Jacksonville from the age of 15-17, a friend (Justin Filoseta) and I started Design Extensions in June of 1999. Since that time, Design Extensions has taken on a life of its own – pulling in clients from dozens of industries all across the United States. While originally I managed all aspects of Design Extension, my current duties include design review, project management, marketing, and making customers smile. When not working on the business, I can usually be found spending time with my wife, Claire, and our five children Hayden, Oliver, Lincoln, Eden and Eva.

Business Coach

Kat McLead is the creator of the Stay at Home Mom Entrepreneur: *the* proven framework for creating a highly profitable business that you love while working 2 hours a day.

She started her first multiple 6 figure business 20 years ago and hasn’t slowed down since — not even after having kids. A fun fact: That business’s profits meant that she had way more money than her husband when they first got married and was able to pay the entire $450,000 down payment on their home. Not that he minded!

She fully planned on being a pampered Stay at Home Mom, but once her son began preschool, and she actually had ME time again for the first time in years, she became restless. So she came out of “retirement” and started coaching her friends just to give her a little extra buzz.

Since then, she’s helped numerous Stay at Home Moms find fulfillment and independent income outside of motherhood all while staying Mom first.

AND that’s how she developed THE ONLY BUSINESS FRAMEWORK specifically designed for a BUSY MOM.
